Hello, I'm Jiun — nice to meet you!

I'm a UI/UX designer with three years of experience on B2B security products, having built a design system and planned multiple complex features. I'm good at balancing competing requirements against technical constraints to create experiences that are clear and easy to understand.

In college I did a three-year internship at a radio station and conducted over a hundred interviews. All that interviewing built a habit of digging into the context behind a conversation — so when I look at user needs, I tend to understand the real problem first before I think about design direction.

I'm a curious person who enjoys the satisfaction of solving problems and loves picking up new things. I believe my background in interviewing and design lets me design with more empathy — building human-centered experiences that feel comfortable to use.

Tools I Use

I mainly use Figma to design UI/UX projects and build high-fidelity interactive prototypes, hand complex vector work off to Illustrator, and handle background removal and compositing in Photoshop. For building websites, I designed and shipped my company's site with Framer, and built this portfolio site with Webflow. AI is also part of my daily workflow — I use Claude and ChatGPT to help with early ideation and polishing UX copy, and helped build an internal design-review tool, UI Reviewer, with Dify.

Work Experience

Senior UI/UX Designer

2023.03-2026.02

Leukocyte-Lab Inc. · B2B SaaS in-house product

Product Design

  • Independently owned the redesign of the drill-scoring feature end to end — from problem definition and spec writing through interface design — using audience-tailored design to give general and advanced users different depths of results, lowering the barrier to interpreting security outcomes.
  • Built Design System v1 together with the Design Lead, managing design tokens in Token Studio to establish a consistent foundation between design and front-end.
  • As the lead designer for Design System v2, restructured the token architecture and standardized components and information hierarchy, resolving the maintenance strain from feature growth.
  • Took part in planning an internal tools system, using workshops and staged requirements meetings to distill user workflow insights into a basis for feature design.

Applying AI

  • Proposed turning the team's design-review checklist into an AI tool, and built an internal tool called UI Reviewer with the Design Lead using Dify — it checks designs item by item, from whether users can complete their goals down to component-usage details, and produces prioritized suggestions.

Website & Visual Design

  • Led the visual design and responsive layout planning for the company website redesign — after gathering leadership's requirements, built and shipped it solo with Framer (no-code) within two weeks.
  • Supported marketing visual design, covering exhibition backdrops, event landing pages, EDMs, and annual holiday cards.

Junior UI/UX Designer

2022.11-2022.12

Guanfan Technology · Blockchain project development

  • Redesigned the fintech news site ABMedia — independently handled the responsive layout planning and information-architecture changes, and expanded the membership system and article comments so the outlet's site had a foundation for reader interaction.
  • Worked with a senior designer to iterate on BESTLA, a crypto asset management app — refreshed the visual style, added dark mode, and established a consistent design system as the design foundation for future feature growth.

[Intern] PR Department Manager / Radio News & Program Producer

2018.09-2021.06

Radio Tamkang

News Reporting & Program Production

  • Independently produced over a hundred news interviews, handling everything from designing the interview outline to conducting interviews and editing the audio — building a habit of listening closely and uncovering the motivation behind a need.
  • Planned and ran in-depth program interviews, using upfront research and outline design to steer the conversation and surface the deeper perspective behind a guest's answers.

Community Management & Visual Design

  • Led the annual recruitment campaign, aligning cross-department requirements and producing the key visual and related collateral.
  • Planned and contributed to the station's social media visuals, and oversaw the quality and performance of team members' posts.
  • Handled a range of print design work — team apparel, business cards, posters, and lanyards.
  • Negotiated partnerships with outside organizations, including collaborations with Farren Records, East Wave, and Huang Mi-Chieh.
